In this video, we review the new two-passenger, long-range Greattan L electric trike from popular e-bike manufacturer Addmotor. We unbox, assemble, and then ride this new two-seater e-trike all around and up and down the Las Vegas Strip. Addmotor, along with mind-eyes design, agreed on a collaboration to test and review their most recent model—the Greattan L, a two-passenger electric trike with three wheels, two seats, and dual batteries, offering up to 130 miles of range. How could we refuse? Addmotor shipped the trike to our location in Las Vegas, and the Greattan L arrived just a few days later in an exceptionally large, very tall box on a wooden pallet. Here's a look into how all that unboxing went down.

The Greattan L e-trike model we received in Neptune Blue has a frame made of aluminum alloy. The handlebars, front basket, seat posts, rims, and fenders are all aluminum as well. The Greattan L is best suited for riders between 5'2" and 6'4" and it has a payload capacity of up to 500 lbs. Moving on to the wheels, the two fat tires in the back are 20" in height by 4" wide, and the single front tire is 26" high by 4" wide. The front has a double shoulder suspension fork, and the brakes are Tektro mechanical disc brakes with a motor cutoff sensor.

Each battery is a UL-certified 48V 20Ah Samsung cell battery. The front features a 960Wh battery integrated into the frame, which helps protect the battery from damage and dirt. Using pedal assist on level one, each battery will give you up to 65 miles in range. Dual batteries will deliver up to 130 miles range. The charging time is 8 to 10 hours for a full charge with 1,000 to 1,500 charge cycles per battery. There is a rear-mounted 48V 750W brushless motor with 90 Nm of torque at 1,400W peak power. The motor will get you and a friend around town at a modest 20 mph. No need to hurry though. If you are in the back seat, you have it made—you get to relax and enjoy the view.

15.5 mph is where I'm at right now. Is that a bump? No bump. This is rather a nice way to see things, going in such a nice mode. I could pick up some people at the bus stop because there's room in the back seat—unless they're very small people.

You really do. That's what I was saying before—when you're on a bike, you see so much more. You can appreciate so much more of your surroundings. It's very convenient to have. It's a wonderful ride. You don't want me to do a lot of pedals—really just need to deal with the PAS. You can see your speed, know how fast you're going. I would recommend mirrors so we can see how wide this is when we go through different areas. I'd like to make sure everything is all good. If I don't have a passenger to tell me, mirrors would be helpful. As far as the height goes, 5'6" is great for me. I wasn't in the back seat, but my partner told me it was very comfortable, which was great. I think they're perfect for elderly people. It's easy to do, and sitting back here honestly was fine. The cushioning is fine, it was very comfortable. I wouldn't want to ride to LA on the back of this, but around here, going up and down the Strip, it was great. If you got inventive, especially because it's a sunny day and in the 90℉ , I wouldn't mind having a little canopy over the back.

Yes, we have two batteries on this bike, and each battery can go up to 65 miles pedal assist. You can go up to 130 miles, which is wonderful—really, you can go anywhere with this. Right over here, this is your brake that's going to deal with your back brake. The one on the right side deals with your front brake, so that's quite easy. The LED display shows you how quickly you are going, and shows your pedal assist number. We have over here a left blinker, a right blinker, and that's your horn. This is the pedal assist; the highest it goes to is seven, so it goes from 1 to 7. Over here to the right, we have gears, which go from 1 to 7. This is your throttle; you turn this and that just makes it go, which is wonderful—makes it easy. There is also an assistant lock brake. You press this down and press this button in tight—there we go. Now it's parked. Quite easy to do once you know how to do it.
